Human vices

Hi everybody! I'd like to share with you one of my latest diploma projects for the course “Basics of illustration”, in BHSAD.
It's a series of 5 digital graphic works called “Human vices”.

While thinking of a possible character, I was really impressed by one work of Uno Moralez, where an Indian god is entering the modern spaceship. I loved such a conflict of epoch in it.
So I decided to use folk creatures and ghosts from Japanese mythology, called by common word “youkai”, to show that times have changed, but something is still the same —  such as human vices. And I placed the youkai to the “right” locations of a modern metropolis where all the vicious habits could be satisfied —  to a casino, a strip club, a dark street, etc.  Scene plots take place at night, around 2 am, because Japaneses believe it's the time when the human world faces the world of evil spirits and ghosts.
